Edo Assembly sacks Speaker, Deputy

The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Honourable Victor Edoror and his Deputy were onTuesday removed from office through impeachment.

Fifteen (15) lawmakers of the 24-member House impeached the two principal officers over allegations of incompetence and high-handedness.

After their impeachment, the members elected Mrs Elizabeth Ative as the new Speaker.
